"Artificial light, man made light must reflect nature"

RINGSTED GALLERY:

February 10-25, 2001
Bøllingsvej 15
Rignsted, Denmark

The individual works in this show are intimate works. Each of them functions the same way a painting functions on the wall. Light is received, and light is sent back to the eye. The small stainless steel drawings are surrounded with a halo of light. In full daylight the lines of the cut drawing are bright with light. LED--light emitting diodes--power these works.

The projections in this show make use of simple optics to create dramatic three dimensional space. The whirlpool series in white light were inspired by a visit to Skagen twelve years ago. The LED projections follow rules of geometric function, each sphere of light off set from its center and radiating from an eccentric center.
