"Artificial
light, man made light must reflect nature"
MURALS:
Boston Wharf: This wall of light is
a constantly changing play of light and color. The
individual 1.5 by 2.8 meter glass panels are flooded
with shafts and rays of light that process through
a multiple hour cycle. The work appears static
as you pass through the lobby space, yet is different
each
time one sees it.
Making use of existing wall wash fixtures
and retro-fitting with custom
optics, frees the architect to build and utilize long
wall areas
decoratively. The flexibility and durability of "off
the shelf" hardware
fitted with specific optical devices designed to site
specifics creates a
hard hitting and dramatic effect in otherwise mundane
settings.
